Direct-to-patient Palpitation Service

Palpitations are one of the most common complaints that cardiologist see. This usually refers to feelings of racing of the heart, irregular heartbeats or the heart beat skipping. The rise of wearable technologies has also given us greater understanding of our heart rate and rhythms. Cardiologists use different tests to analyse palpitations but usually the one common test is a period of heart monitoring. I provide a direct-to-patient patch monitor that allows monitoring of the heart rhythm for up to 2-weeks. This service (provided by iRhythm) ships out the monitor directly to a patients address with instructions on how to apply the monitor. After the monitoring period has finished patients then post it back to iRhythm where it is analysed. You can book this service directly through the website followed by a consultation to discuss the results.
